Our first Birthright extender of the season just got his first ever pair of Tefillin today from the Jerusalem Heritage House – that’s a pretty good start!!!

We prepared for the Holiday of Sukkos by finishing a new Torah Scroll for the Jerusalem Heritage House in memory of our “lone soldier” Sgt. Max Steinberg, hy’d. Max tragically fell in Gaza during Operation “Protective Edge”.

Happy Hanukkah from the Jerusalem Heritage House in the liberated Old City of Jerusalem. This Hanukkah has been quite a special one, mostly because of all the attacks at the UN and in DC against us even being here.
Today we participated in a prayer service for a young boy’s first time putting on tefillin. Unfortunately, his father couldn’t be there because he was brutally murdered in a stabbing attack exactly one year ago.The prayer service was held in
Obama and the UN said no Jews in Hevron, we went anyway!

We had an AMAZING Shavuos holiday at the Jerusalem Heritage House. Packed house with “lone soldiers” and Birthright Israel extenders, various Jewish educational opportunities throughout the Old City, festive dairy meal, and prayers at the Kotel HaKatan (the “Little Western Wall).
