Today we participated in a prayer service for a young boy’s first time putting on tefillin. Unfortunately, his father couldn’t be there because he was brutally murdered in a stabbing attack exactly one year ago.The prayer service was held in the Western Wall Tunnels directly facing the area where the “Holy of Holies” was in the Temple. The festive dancing was held in the plaza of the Western Wall. These are the kind of results that come from irresponsible speeches and misguided UN actions and these are our responses. This young man and his family will faithfully continue their Father’s legacy. It was an honor for some of our “lone soldiers” and me to participate in this simcha, especially with everything going on. #notbackingdownevenalittlebit
